And no...I am not pregnant! Like how I pulled you in with that one?!
Before you run off, angry with me for pulling your leg like that, I do have a big announcement for y'all. I've been wanting to post about it for a week now, but A & I needed to share the news with family first, of course.
So, wanna know what it is that I've been holding out on?
We are moving!!! To the Philippines :) See, there's that P word y'all were waiting for!
Ever since March, when we found out that hubs company was shutting down in Houston, A & I have been patiently playing a waiting game to see how things would pan out. We weren't sure if we were going to stay with his company, going to find hubs a new job, going to move domestically within the US or if we would be given the chance to do an international rotation.
It all worked out about a week and a half ago, when A got his final offer letter from the Philippines. The offer had everything we wanted & then some! The best part about it all - it's only a 2 year contract so we will have the option to come back to the USA if we choose to. After all the ups & downs over the last few months, we are blessed & so happy/excited to begin this new adventure.
We get to go out to The P (yep, that's what I have dubbed it) for a week and go house hunting, which I am thoroughly looking forward to! We'll get to find a place to live, check out a bunch of the local sites & even see A's new office. The craziest part of the WHOLE thing - Hubs has to be moved out to The P for good by September 1st, which means homegirl over here will be packing up the house and wrapping up all loose ties by herself.
Cue the panicky music....NOW.
If you're a friend in the Houston area, please please let me know if you're free for hangouts! I would love to see any and all of you before I leave. I can't guarantee that I won't look like a crazed banshee, but if you can handle that, then we were clearly meant to be friends anyways. And if you have any desire whatsoever to come pack up my house for me, I will love you forever. Seriously.
Have y'all ever moved internationally for work/fun?! Have you ever visited The P? I need all sorts of info, so if you've got any insight about expat living or The P, please share it with me :)
P.S. I feel so happy that after a VERY long, unscheduled hiatus, I finally have so much fun stuff to talk about and share with y'all! Thanks for sticking around even while I was off figuring out life, haha. <3
