Hi TLA friends! I've got a little surprise for you.
So we each grabbed our best friend and away we went! We stayed at the cheapest, crappiest motel just so we could blow more money on food and booze. Do you blame us? We spent the entire week shopping downtown, partying and taking in a little bit of history. Good food, great night life and the beach all in one spot? Yeah, we were fans.
After our second trip, we kind of became pros. We knew all the right bars to go to and which to avoid--I'm looking at you bar with a 30 minute line and $20 cover!
Downtown Charleston is one of the best places to play bar golf. Never heard of it? Well, each bar is a "hole," up to 9 holes (trust me, you do not even want to attempt 18). One drink per hole. See that pic up above of me leaning over the bushes? I think that was after the 5th hole. I'm banned from any and all future bar golf games.
Also, if you are half as obsessed with the movie The Notebook as we are, you should head to Charleston. The movie was filmed in Charleston, and we went around to a bunch of different places that appeared in the movie, like the theatre (photo above) and the Boone Hall Plantation. Well, we really only made it to the entrance of the plantation because it was a whopping $20 per person, and we were cheapos!
While I'm out & about galivanting around the world, I figured I would introduce you to one of my cute, wonderful friends, Joey! I have no idea how I managed to stumble across this awesome gal's blog, but I'm so thankful I did. We are like two peas in a pod & I am so excited to have her here to share a travel story with you :)

Hey The Little Aslam Readers!
I'm Joey, and I ramble over at Hodgespodges.
Myra has been kind enough to let me hang out over here while she's on the trip of a lifetime!
I took a trip once.
And then I took the same trip like 5 times over.
Because it was that good.
Back in college, the husband had the great idea to spring break down in Charleston, SC. To those of us freezing our tails off up on the mountain at AppState, warmer weather within driving distance sounded like a great idea.So we each grabbed our best friend and away we went! We head down South at least once a year now!
Thanks for having me, Myra!

Ahh! I love checking out places that movies were filmed (most recently checked out the resort where Forgetting Sarah Marshall was filmed in Hawaii). I would LOVE to check out Charleston sometime!
