and then i became a world traveler.

For reals though y'all, I have become quite the experienced traveler lately! When I started my new job, I was told that I would be doing quite a bit of domestic travel. They weren't kidding! I spend two weeks traveling (monday - thursday, so it's not nearly as bad as it could be) and then I spend a week at home. Just as I was getting used to the crazy work schedule, throw in my sister-in-law's wedding and helllloooo overseas travel!

I must say though, I am super pumped about this adventure! I'm traveling with my in-laws and we are headed to all sorts of destinations.

Let me show you what I'm talking about...

Leg 1 of Crazy Fun Trip (CFT to keep it easy): 
Houston to Paris (layover) then Paris to Saudi Arabia (Mecca)
I am SO excited about this part. And by SO,  I mean BEYOND excited. I have never been to Mecca. I've never gotten to participate in either the smaller pilgrimage nor the big one, but now I am finally headed to the Holy lands and I finally get to witness the beauty of that land.

Finally friends, finally.

Leg 2 of CFT: 
Saudi Arabia (Mecca) to Istanbul
Yep, excited about this one too. My baby brother got to go to Istanbul last year (I think!) and he loved it! They have some beautiful mosques and Islamic history which I am sure I am going to be soaking up as quickly as I can.

Leg 3 of CFT:
Istanbul to Algeria. Oh yes, Sissy's wedding time y'all! I have no idea what to expect, but I know I can't wait to enjoy all the crazy amounts of fun that will be had! Our whole family is going & my SIL's fiance's family lives there so I can only imagine all the ridiculousness that will ensue.

Also, in Algeria, wedding tradition is that they start festivities in the evening and everyone hangs out until breakfast the next morning before the reception is over! God help this grandma over here because around 9 pm, my bed is generally calling out to me. Lol!

Leg 4 of CFT:
Algeria to Paris - and this time, we get to stay a day in Paris!! Better believe we'll be sleeping on the plane instead of actually getting much sleep at the hotel that one night, because girlfriend over here is headed to go see...

Oh yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. This has always been a dream of mine and I don't care that I only get ONE day in Paris, I'm going to make the most of it. I hope one day I get to go back and enjoy even more of the beauty that it has to offer :)

And after all that crazy fun, we will finally be headed home! Honestly, just typing all this up is getting me giddy excited.

I'm all packed up and ready to go! Procrastination at it's finest, considering I'm currently writing this and it's Monday night, lol!
